After several months of discussion, construction and working closely with the management of the Mahogany Bay Cruise Terminal, the Rotary Club of Roatan celebrated the Official Grand Opening of our Tourist Information Booth at Mahogany Bay.

Our booth at the Mahogany Bay Cruise Terminal officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 3, 2010. The booth staffers include Rotary Club Members and spouses and Honorary Friends of Rotary These members who will be on hand to answer general questions about Roatan and provide information about our Club, the work that we do and current and future projects.

Visitors to the booth can make a donation and take home a Rotary Club of Roatan souvenir golf shirt. T-shirts emblazoned with Roatan Police and Fire logos are also available and 100% of the proceeds from these shirts will go to support ongoing Police and Fire initiatives.

Special thanks goes to Ilias Scott (Chairman of our Club Administration Committee) who spearheaded the efforts to move the booth from idea to reality, and to Mike Reimer (Director of Mahogany Bay) and his team who have helped us every step of the way. Without the efforts of these two men we could not have opened the Booth as quickly as we did!
