Youth & Vocational Projects

The Rotary Club of Sooke directs a major portion of its funding and volunteer efforts towards youth and vocational projects.  Rotary's programs for students and youth can change the lives of those who participate. Through these programs, young people can earn scholarships, travel on cultural exchanges, or help a community through a service project.

Thousands of young people from around the world participate in Rotary programs to learn skills that will help them become future leaders. Youth programs allow participants to discover more about themselves and the world by participating in community projects, leadership training, or cultural exchanges. They also learn about the principles of ethics, service, and fellowship that Rotarians exemplify.

Youth programs and activities include:

• Leadership & Adventure Projects: Youth are sponsored to attend local, provincial, national and international leadership and career training events.
• Scholarships and bursaries: Sooke Rotary provides ongoing funding for Sooke's youth for educational and vocational pursuits. 
• Other Youth & Vocational Services and Projects:  SEAPARC Youth Bus, supporting Sooke Skate Jam, literacy, travel assistance, sports, international exchange, building parks and playgrounds...wherever there is an identified need, Sooke Rotary is there for the town!
