The State of Mental Health in CO

Mental health is a vital consideration for every Coloradan. And more than a million Coloradans face a mental health crisis or experience a substance use disorder each year--while only half get the care they need. The consequences of unmet mental health needs sap our vitality, keep us from living up to our full potential as individuals and as a community, and can be catastrophic: crowded emergency rooms and prison cells, increased unemployment and homelessness, and one of the highest suicide rates in the nation.
