Pride of Quakertown
Oct. 27, 2015
Pride of Quakertown, POQ, is a non-profit 501© 3 that provides scholarships for children in need under the age of 18, to participate in co-curricular activities within the Community. We believe that every child deserves the right to have access to any and all experiences that may enrich their lives and provide opportunities for growth and learning. We have developed partnerships with a variety of recreational program leaders to determine the best way to include a scholarship recipient into their desired program and through this relationship we have strengthened the bonds that occur within the Quakertown area. |

Sleep Out For Hunger
Nov. 03, 2015
Rich Aichele from Keystone Opportunity Center will talk to the club about their "Sleep Out For Hunger". SleepOUT for Homelessness is a great way to raise awareness that there are men, women and children living homeless in our community and in communities across the nation. Keystone Opportunity Center works toward eliminating homelessness in Upper Montgomery and Bucks counties.
The fundraising goal for the 2015 SleepOUT is $40,000 to help stop homelessness in our community. The night will include cardboard shelter building, a rally, food pantry tours, soup making, shelter housing tours, a Code Blue Reenactment, and a poverty simulation. |

Join us for the Upper Bucks Foot and Ankle Run for Youth 10 Mile and 4 Mile races presented by the Quakertown Rotary. This challenging late winter 10 miler is a good test in advance of the spring race season while the 4 miler is a rolling out-and-back course for runners who prefer shorter distances. Both courses run through the rolling hills of Upper Bucks County and are well marked with signs and volunteers at all major intersections. While the roads are open, there is relatively little traffic. |
