Today was the club's monthly Assembly meeting.  Topics discussed were numerous and wide-ranging.

-Judy led us in the Pledge
-Janet had the Thought for the Day and Charlie led us in a song
-Karen read a thank you note from SLVES for the dictionaries
-Karen recognized Franziska, Joe and Linda for working the polls. Karen also was a poll volunteer.
-Joe was Detective and challenged us with Veteran’s Day trivia
-Happy Bucks
 
Karen asked each Rotarian in attendance if they’d like to share any Rotary info or other info with the group.
 
-Ken announced the VWC Environmental Town Forum would be this Saturday at the Felton Community Hall
 
-Linda announced the Felton Library would be having a meeting tonight at the Felton community Hall at 7 PM
 
-Janet read info from VCUM about adopting a family for the holidays as a possible recipient of the Rotary Club’s annual charitable gift collection from club members.
Janet will get more info and also look into a food drive.
 
-It was suggested we send a card to Carmen and Priscilla to let them know we’re thinking of them.
 
-Ken initiated a discussion about political candidates at Rotary meetings
 
-Judy announced that Santa’s Shelves, a Felton Fire fundraiser, would be November 19th and 20th at the Felton Fire Hall.  Also, on December 17th the completion of the new roof for the covered bridge in Felton will  be celebrated from 1-4 PM.
 
-Brenda asked about the Interact club and Janet shared some of the Interact projects they had planned.
 
-Carol reminded us of the Vocation Appreciation Award on December 7th.
 
-Don will work with Steve to find some community service projects for the club.
 
-Mike reminded us that November is Foundation month and that the next meeting will feature Vicky Martinez from the Ensenada Comunidad, project that our club contributes to.
 
-Karen adjourned the meeting with our motto, Service Above Self.
