Will Guilford: (Artistic Director) has been directing musicals for San Lorenzo Valley Middle and San Lorenzo Valley High Schools for the past 20 years. This marks Will's 14th year of collaborating with Dustin Leonard's Youth Productions. Presently, Will teaches 7th Grade Drama Appreciation, 8th Grade Drama Production, and World History classes at SLV Middle School. Moreover, Will heads up the new Performing Arts Academy at SLV Middle School. He obtained his B.A. in Political Science from U.C. Davis in 1985, received his Teaching Credential from U.C. Santa Cruz in 1988, and earned a Masters in Radio, Television, Film, and Theatre from San Jose State University in 2001 and his second Masters in Educational leadership & Administration in 2008. His thesis, "Adolescent Self-Esteem: The Role Theatre Plays," focused on the importance of the art of drama in bolstering self-confidence and self-esteem in our youth. Will has also completed extensive research on why it is imperative for schools to provide students with an array of extracurricular activity options. His musical credits, over 50 directed and produced, include Little Shop of Horrors, Wizard of Oz, Dracula: The Musical, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Damn Yankees,The Pajama Game, Annie, Grease, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Bye Bye Birdie, Crazy for You, Guys and Dolls, The Sound of Music, Oliver, Cinderella, Honk!, The Music Man, Oklahoma!, Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, and Peter Pan. |

Comunidad Para Baja California

Bill Rush is a founder, current secretary and lead volunteer pilot for the organization Comunidad Para Baja California. He has been an active pilot since 1969 and spends a great deal of time traveling, working and providing charitable support in Mexico and Central America. Bill is retired from the insurance business and was active in the industry associations. He was The President of the Silicon Valley Insurance Brokers and Agents Association and served on the Finance Committee of the Insurance Brokers and Agents of the West. Comunidad Para Baja California is a volunteer organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for the indigenous communities of Baja California. We operate as a ‘non-profit startup’, with every program evaluated by its ROI (impact on the Nativo population + the return on our investors’ money and volunteers’ time). Since Comunidad’s administrative expenses are underwritten by contributions from its Board members, 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to the Nativo tribes.

Radio Station KBCZ

Tim is the Director for coming radio Station KBCZ. KBCZ will be a non-commercial local FM Radio station at 90.1FM serving the San Lorenzo Valley using an entertaining and educational format. The content is to be focused on local expertise on a wide array of subjects including local history, art, music, agriculture, weather, emergency information, upcoming community events, and our local economy. KBCZ is to be financially sustainable through donations and local business sponsorships. |

SLV High School Aquaculture

Teacher David Grant and volunteer technician Nate Beck have spent 18 months refurbishing a fish-farming system that circulates nearly 50,000 gallons of Fall Creek water through 40 tanks. Students in Grant's aquaculture class use the tanks to design and build yearlong research projects to study interactions of chemical compounds, fish and plants. Student Internship Program

Boulder Creek Fire Protection District annually provides a unique program for San Lorenzo Valley High School students. The program is provided to introduce students to the profession of firefighting as a potential career path. Students learn various aspects of firefighting through hands on training. Some of the topics covered are: vehicle extrication, structural firefighting, Wildland firefighting, hose evolutions, ladder evolutions, search and rescue, and rope rescue. Firefighting is a physically demanding career, which requires good physical condition. Students participate in physical conditioning during the program. |

Jeff Emery is the proprietor, winemaker, truck driver, mechanic, wine sales dude, and basically anything else he needs to be to make this small business work. He first came to Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard in July of 1979 and ended up working with Ken Burnap, the winery’s founder, in what can best be described as an old-fashioned apprenticeship. Jeff took over the business in 2002 when Ken retired. |
