The Rotary Club of Morgan Hill has recently made targeted donations to local organizations that are supporting our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Donations made include the Edward Boss Prado Foundation to support the Gate to Gate Food Giveaway, the Morgan Hill Community Foundation to support the Essential Worker Childcare Program, and the YMCA to support the Morgan Hill Senior Center Lunch Program. For more information about those grants, please see ROTARY CLUB SUPPORTING COVID-19 RELIEF EFFORTS, AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS

Grant applicants who submitted between July 1, 2019 and September 30, 2019 were notified on the status of their applications and recipients of grants received funding in January 2020 .

As the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our Club's fund raising activities, we are unfortunately postponing our annual Community Grant/Hearts of Rotary grant application process. Please check back for more information when the program will resume.

Grants are only accepted from philanthropic organizations (not individuals) which provide benefits to the Morgan Hill community. Grants must be used within the Morgan Hill Community as defined by the boundaries of the Morgan Hill Unified School District and are typically granted in amounts from $250 to $2,500.  If your organization has a significantly larger financial need, maybe our Foundation can assist you through our Rotary Grants.  Grants are not given for scholarships or other forms of monetary benefit to specific individuals, support religious or political viewpoints.

We offer two types of grants:

Community Grants: Requests for a long lasting capital item(s), e.g., equipment, furniture, appliances. This grant type is not intended for items or expenses that have one-time or limited use or benefit to a few persons.

Hearts of Rotary Grants: Requests for identifiable items or expenses that have one-time or limited use and/or provide  a benefit to a few persons. Personnel, general operating or maintenance expenses may be considered for a grant. Please note that this type of grant is only available to a 501 c (3) organizations and must be the 503 c (3) entity registered with the US government and NOT a related party.

We may consider applications for more than one grant from an organization during the grant period, but each grant request requires a separate application. There is no guarantee that any applicant receiving a grant in one year will receive funding in a subsequent year.

Applicants receiving a grant will be notified in January 2020 and funds must be spent by December 31, 2020. Documentation of the expense and how the applicant recognized Rotary* must also be provided by mailing that documentation to
