Quote for the week:   "The Declaration of Independence I always considered a theatrical show.  Jefferson ran away with all the stage effect of that...and all the glory of it."  John Adams

Remember that song, "Where Have All the Members Gone," by Pete Seeger?  Wait...maybe that was something else...oh, forget it.

A little tongue in cheek, but speaking of tongues...many missing as we exercise our diaphragms in song at the beginning of our meetings.  Many are conspicuous by their absence - and sorely missed.  Smaller numbers just increase the odds for those in attendance since the Queen of Hearts raffle is up to $400.  Uncle Bill labors arduously to get us informative and entertaining programs - and we have fun and the food is great!  Everyone knows that already!

The concert this week is on Friday night, July 3rd. Trailer Trash (http://www.trailertrash413.com/) “New England’s favorite modern country cover band!”  Jim’s son, “Jeff thinks Trailer Trash will be a Huge Concert.”  Don't let the name fool you - after all, what's in a name.  Just ask Susan about The Driftwoods!  The talent scout who scooped them got fired! The talent scout for Brass Attack of Springfield, July 8th, is still basking in glory!

Friday… Noon, many hands needed to help setup our sound system for July 3rd concert.  Al Grimaldi estimates setup time taking a couple hours if enough people show up.  All hands on deck.  July 3rd happens to be our busiest night for concessions - especially the two hours before the fireworks starting at 10 pm.  Then, club needs break down crew to help take it down and ready to be moved by Mike B. for morning of the July 4th parade.  Plenty of opportunity to help out.

NO meeting on Thursday, July 2nd.  Adele officially officiates for the first time in the new Rotary year as the Big Kahuna on July 3rd.  Be there for our July 3rd concert or...get court marshaled!
