Crutches for Africa

Save Crutches From Landfills & Give Mobility To Those In Need!

Do you have gently used mobility devices taking up space in your home?

Exeter Subaru is teaming up with Marci Francis / Marci & Co Realty Group at Keller Williams Coastal Realty to help you declutter, recycle and GIVE BACK!

Crutches for Africa, a nonprofit 501c3 organization, is an international effort to gather gently used & new mobility devices for reuse in Africa and other developing countries. These devices are distributed free to people with physical challenges. Many recipients have survived the ravages of polio, although polio is almost completely eradicated; many people are suffering the long-term effects. Others have experienced accidents or acts of violence.

From March 1st - March 31st, we will be collecting the following items which can be dropped off at Exeter Subaru:

Crutches
Canes
Walkers
Wheelchairs
Scooters
Mobility boots
Splints and slings

Let’s reuse & recycle and make a difference for those in need!

Salvation Army Food Service

The nightly Salvation Army soup kitchen sets up in this Emergency Disaster Services truck and parks under the lights at the back of the Middle Street Baptist Church at 18 Court St, Portsmouth. Two volunteers arrive at 4:50 pm and work inside the truck (with heaters) to put the hot food into containers to give out to diners through the window.  Dinner starts at 5:00 pm and is over at 6:00 pm. We clean up and are finished by 6:15 pm. Our Club has signed up to serve every third Wednesday of the month for the next 11 months. Please text me, Sara Treacy, at 603-661-8588 if you can sign up.
