While giving background of Law Commission of Ontario, Aneurin informed the members that The Law Commission of Ontario is made up of legal researchers and other staff who have a genuine interest in the issues they serve. During presentation he spoke about the two projects namely Family law reforms and Improving the last stages of life. The recommendation about the family law is already presented. Talking about the back ground of Doctors assisted suicide he told the members that the Supreme Court suspended its ruling of physician-assisted death for one year to give the federal government time to come up with an amended law (or not), and to allow provincial governments and regulators to prepare. He said that at the moment commission is working pro actively on this project in consultations  with stakeholder groups including, health professionals, ethicists, lawyers who give advice on these issues, and representatives of professional regulatory bodies, administrative tribunals, community organizations and government.
