Terry Reardon - 4th Annual Veterans' Luncheon
Winston Churchill

Terry Reardon is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.  He worked in the banking industry in England, then Canada, for 45 years.

He has been a member of the International Churchill Society Canada for 20 years, serving as Director for 12 years and  presently in the role of Vice Chairman and Recording Secretary.

He is a Canadian contributor and member of the editorial board of the Churchill Centre Magazine, Finest Hour.

Terry is the author of a number of distinguised publications, including:

“Churchill’s Madeira” – Winter 2003/4;

“Winston Churchill and Mackenzie King” – Spring 2006 (winner of the Somervell Award for 2006;

“When Mice Roared: The Thirty Minute Invasion of St. Pierre and Miquelon” – Autumn 2007;

“Lion of Britain, Cross of Lorraine: Churchill and de Gaulle” – Spring 2008;

The Reluctant Retiree” – Spring 2011;

“Winston Churchill and the Raid on Dieppe” – Spring 2012.

How Canada Saw Churchill (and Vice Versa), 1914-1939”  – Winter 2013/14

He was one of the originators of the project to revitalize the Churchill Statue in Nathan Phillips Square.  This project raised $30,000 to provide landscaping, park benches, and four plaques. The Statue and plaques are to be moved to be the main feature in the new Sculpture Garden.

Terry has numerous additional accomplishments but of one thing we're sure - he has a passion for history, and for Churchill.
