Norma Davis will talk about the Refugee Family Sponsorship that she has put together and now waiting to receive a family from Syria. Additionally, she will talk and share a presentation on the Uganda Bugiri WASH Project - a Global Grant to build rainwater harvesting tanks, VIP pit latrines, and establish health clubs and a menstrual hygiene management program for 10 rural and very poor schools in Bugiri, Uganda (Rotary club of Toronto Forest Hill has donated $1000 towards the project). We are looking forward to see you at the luncheon. |

Inga Spatari PhD Inga Spatari is an internationally trained medical doctor, graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at the State Medical University of Moldova in 1997. She took the postgraduate residency in Alternative and Complimentary Medicine in 2000 at the same university. She continued with postgraduate studies and research, from 2000 to 2008, she lived and studied in China where she deepened her knowledge of Chinese Medicine and did her Master of Science and her PhD in Acupuncture. The main topics of her research were psychosomatic disorders- Insomnia and the Treatment and Rehabilitation after Severe Brain Injury. She published many articles and gave presentations with regards to Chinese medicine.
Inga Spatari is a Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Vaughan, Ontario, Professor at Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and director at Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada. She is the expert of the magazine “Be Healthy” and is one of the three best acupuncturists in GTA according to the opinion of this magazine. Her main directions of work are pain and stress management, treatment of depression, anxiety, infertility, male disorders, allergies, metabolic and hormonal disorders. Law Reform and Access to Justice in Ontario

Aneurin (Nye) Thomas is Executive Director, Designate of the Law Commission of Ontario. He is the Executive Director of the Commission. Nye has extensive leadership experience in Ontario’s justice system. Prior to joining the Commission, Nye was Director General, Policy and Strategic Research at Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) where he led numerous province-wide initiatives to expand access to justice, including the most significant expansion of legal aid services in more than 20 years. Nye has also been Policy Director on major provincial inquiries, including the Ipperwash Inquiry. Nye has spoken extensively across the province on legal aid, access to justice, and justice reform issues. |
