ABOUT JANICE L. BLIXT:

Janice L. Blixt, artistic director of the Michigan Shakespeare Festival, is a founding member and producing artistic director of Chicago's A Crew of Patches Theatre Company, a repertory company specializing in Shakespeare productions. She has been the director, vocal director or text coach for almost a dozen Shakespeare plays. Blixt has played leading roles in Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, Julius Caesar and others in productions at Chicago's Bowen Theatre and City Lit Theatre, and the Detroit area's Meadow Brook Theatre, The Jewish Ensemble Theatre and Heartlande Theatre Company. She has studied with international talent from Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford Festival and Royal Shakespeare Company and taught workshops and classes for professional actors at Loyola University and The City Colleges of Chicago, and at Chicago-area high schools.
