Julia Hurle, the new Trail Program Coordinator for the Schuylkill River Greenways.  This program was suggested to us by our own Peggy Whittaker.  Julia will come tell us about the incredible resource we all have right in our back yard.

The mission of the Schuylkill River Greenways National Heritage Area is to connect residents, visitors and communities to the Schuylkill River and the Schuylkill River Trail by serving as a catalyst for civic engagement and economic development in order to foster stewardship of the watershed and its heritage.

Julia is a Landscape Architect, Open Space Planner, and Trail Builder. She was on the Steering Committee that worked to create the Schuylkill River State Heritage Area in 1995. She is developing a GIS mapping platform for the Schuylkill River Heritage Area, building water trail launches, and expanding the Schuylkill River Trail. Julia, her husband Mark, and their two college-age kids have moved to the Phoenixville area to be closer to our trail projects.

Please note - we are planning resume a hybrid meeting format.  For hybrid meetings we are aiming for a minimum of 20 in-person attendees in order to support the meeting logistics.  For those comfortable to attend in person, masking and social distancing rules will be followed.  Registration is required for in-person attendance so that we can plan meals.
