Come be a Dream League Angel and Get Crabby

Please come out and join us for a really fun event our 2nd Annual Baseballtown Dream League Volunteer Night!  Our club (and friends) will be volunteering or rooting on the Dream League baseball program and getting crabby after with a buffet dinner at the Crab Barn.  

The Baseballtown Dream League gives players with physical or mental disabilities the chance to enjoy a great game while giving their parents and caregivers the opportunity to watch them play and have fun. Volunteers are paired with an athlete during the game and provide support and encouragement while ensuring the safety of their player.   This event is not limited to club members to please spread the word. .  The more the merrier!

• Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the the game
• The field is located at the Relevant Sports Complex - 2816 Old Pricetown Road, Temple PA 19560
• Please park in the stone parking lot across from the field, so we may leave the lot closest to the field for the players.
• Please download and complete attached volunteer form out before you arrive .
• Volunteers can pick up a t-shirt - they are located in the Baseballtown Dream League field against the back wall, they all have sizes located on the boxes.
• Please wear sneakers, no cleats and bring a baseball glove if you have one.
• For those of you who don't want to be on the field we will need volunteers to work the scoreboard and announce the names of the batters when they come up to the plate.
  • The scoreboard is simple to operate and is similar to every other little league scoreboard.  Add runs to the scoreboard as you wish, end every game ends in a tie.
• Our job is to come out and HAVE FUN and KEEP THE KIDS SAFE !! WE NEED TO CHEER ON ALL KIDS FOR EVERYTHING!!!! It’s all about them playing baseball and having fun!!

After our time at the field we will plan on a buffet dinner at the Crab Barn (2316 Hampden Blvd. Reading, PA 19604 )
