We're just a click away from October and Halloween fun. Three activities are already on our calendar!
On October 9th from 7:30 to 8 pm, The Saucon Rotary Club of Center Valley is hosting an on-line "ShelterBox Stock the Box 2020" to highlight this vital work and to celebrate our districts' Shelter Box giving which was $71,532 last year and made our district the number 1 district in contributions. Our pledge of giving for 2020-2021 is $2,000. You could hold a watch party and join the fun.
This year the Purple Pinkie "Race to Zero" to End Polio will also be virtual on October 24th. Our Past District Governor Cindy Hornaman is forming a team to take a socially distanced 5 K walk which will be documented by photos and sent to the event coordinators. socially. Your President is on that team....and...maybe you might consider sponsoring her!
And now, something totally different, this year the Borough of Emmaus is organizing a Reverse Halloween Parade for Saturday, October 31st. The floats and displays are parked at Community Park and cars of spectators drive around the lot for a view. Please speak to Nicole Steirer or Karen Hobson, co-chairs of Community Service, if you can volunteer to be a marshall staffing the park entrance and exits.
