It is with heartfelt gratitude and pride that I announce that the ARC Foundation received a bequest from our very own Alma Stoler Perlis who was a member of our club for many years. Alma passed away in January 2015 at the age of 89.
Up until Alzheimer’s struck, Alma was a huge force in the community. Her exuberance, flamboyance, good nature, class (and long blond hair) would turn heads wherever she went. And went she did! Everywhere! She was a member of the Allentown Symphony, Allentown Art Museum, Baum School of the Art. Alma was an adult graduate of Muhlenberg College. She was a world traveler, art collector and consultant. Alma defined the expression “mover and shaker”. I befriended Alma after her son, Lance, passed away. We became special friends. I am pleased to say “Thank you, Alma for your continued support of the Allentown Rotary Club” Alma’s contribution and memory will live on in perpetuity.
