We had a very productive day of committee meetings Tuesday capped off by our March Board meeting - lots of progress and good news to share. See the calendar to the right for the latest schedule of speakers that our Program Committee has put together for us! Below is an announcement for two more prospective members, plus we are expecting a strong turn-out for Thursday night's Happy Hour - plan to spend the evening with us in downtown Allentown. We'll start at the Perfect Fit Boutique, which helps economically disadvantaged women enter the workforce with style and confidence, then head over to the Liberty Museum to hear our own Frank Whelan speak about Immigration and its conflict with American ideals.
Speaking of Frank, don't miss his humorous and serious write-up below on Rolf Schlake's entertaining talk last week about marijuana and American foibles. And this Friday we will gather at the Lehigh County Government Center, NOT Bell Hall, where County Executive Phil Armstrong will share with us his "State of the County" talk - I'm looking forward to it.
