Join our Allentown Rotary Club members for a fun filled virtual Happy Hour in the comfort and safety of your home to learn a little about Thai Cuisine while enjoying a relaxing drink and some appetizers with restaurateur Jeff Virojanapa.  Jeff is the Owner of the White Orchids Thai Cuisine Restaurant in The Promenade Shops, Saucon Valley and the Notch Modern Kitchen & Bar Restaurant, 5036 Hamilton Blvd, Allentown.  Jeff, along with Notch’s Head Chef Tyler Baxter and Beverage Director Neil Heimsoth will familiarize us with White Orchids and Notch, discuss a few Thai dishes, and demonstrate how to prepare a special cocktail beverage.
 
To get you in a happy mood while Zooming, Jeff is offering our Happy Hour participants a SPECIALLY PRICED Cocktail/Appetizer combination – "Blue Man Group Cocktail & Duo Dip" - that you can purchase for  $14.00.  This SPECIAL includes two dips – Crab Dip (in dark garlic syrup) and Kimchi Hummus (chili oil, everything spice, herbs) served with crispy wonton crisps for dipping.  The Blue Man Group Cocktail is made with Uncle Val’s botanical gin, Cochi Rosa, bbc (black & Blueberry cordial) and lime juice.

Interested? You must register by Tuesday, June 23rd and here are TWO EASY STEPS to participate and enjoy the appetizers and drink, or other items:
  1. Register for the Happy Hour Event by pressing either the Blue "MEMBERS" button or Blue "GUESTS" button on the upper left side of this registration screen where it says Online Registration.
    • You will be taken to Allentown Rotary Club’s registration site for you to enter your name, email address (to be used for sending ZOOM meeting invite), names of those attending, etc.;  (Allentown Rotary members may register using the GUEST option if they don't have their Club Runner ID and password handy).
  2. If you want to order the Special “Blue Man Group Cocktail & Duo Dips” for $14.00 and/or order other items from the Notch Patio Menu, please

Jeff Virojanapa
OWNER OF WHITE ORCHIDS THAI CUISINE AND NOTCH MODERN KITCHEN & BAR
Jeff Virojanapa is a restaurateur who owns two restaurants with his parents in the Allentown, Pennsylvania area: White Orchids Thai Cuisine and Notch Modern Kitchen & Bar. Born in Skokie, Illinois, Jeff moved to Allentown with his family when he was two years old. Growing up, he spent every Sunday with his parents at different eateries around town and worked at local restaurants throughout high school, which sparked his love for the hospitality industry. He then earned a degree in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester and worked as an Engineer in Tennessee and California before returning home to Pennsylvania to fulfill his passion for restaurants. In 2007, Jeff and his parents, who were both born in Thailand, opened White Orchids Thai Cuisine located at The Promenade Shops in Saucon Valley. Off the bat, the restaurant was extremely successful — so much so that the property owners asked the Virojanapas to expand the space from 2,000 square feet to 4,000 square feet. Over the years, White Orchids has remained a favorite among locals, winning the award for Best Thai Restaurant in Lehigh Valley from Leigh Valley Style every year since its establishment. In 2019, Jeff and his parents decided to open a second restaurant, and Notch Modern Kitchen & Bar was born. After exploring Thai cuisine at White Orchids for over 12 years, the Virojanapas wanted to embrace a different fare while sticking to their roots, which inspired an American menu with Asian influences. When speaking about his restaurants, Jeff says: “To me, going to a restaurant is a time to enjoy company, celebrate life, discuss opportunities, and ultimately enjoy great food. We hope you can come to our restaurants and do many if not all of these things.” Jeff currently resides in Allentown with his wife Becky and their three children.
