The history of Zions United Church of Christ, Allentown, PA. This was the site of the first church in Allentown, it was used as a refuge during Indian raids, a revolutionary war hospital, a gathering place for the reading of the Declaration of Independence, and more. Since the church is right next to Bell Hall, our Rotary Club meeting place, it makes sense that the members would want to learn more about our neighbor!
Frank Whelan and Pastor Bob Stevens will collaborate on presenting this program and are available for this date. Frank will present the history and Pastor Bob will take any members interested on a tour of the church immediately after the meeting.
