Stroudsburgs Rotary Memories
I love hearing stories from Rotarians of how things were in days gone by and about past activities engaged in, or loved by members of Stroudsburgs Rotary. The following was submitted by Rotarian David Fox. Hope you enjoy reading his memory as much as I did.

A Rotarian Remembers Buck’s Duck
Bucky's Duck was named for one of our members from the distant past, Alton "Bucky" Jones. He was already a long time Member when I joined in 1975. His classification in Rotary was "Resort Management" because he was a Steward at one of the local outdoor hunting and fishing Clubs. He also liked to brag that he was a "worm farmer" by profession. He was quite a jokester and added many a laugh to our meetings.
It was encouraged that any Rotarian who had to leave a meeting early would place a donation of a dollar or two into Bucky's Duck. The money was periodically sent to the organization Church Women United with the intent of purchasing shoes and any other clothing needed by people who could not afford such necessities.
Church Women United is a group of women from various churches in Monroe County who seek to help those in need.
