Donate to the stocking stuffer drive!

The Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue has the opportunity to once again play a valuable role in supporting our community as we are collecting stocking stuffer donations in support of the Skills Society!
The Skills Society provides support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities, survivors of acquired brain injury, and their families. Your donations will go towards holiday stockings for people supported by their Outreach Program.
Can you donate any stocking stuffer items? Donations can include:

Chocolates or other holiday treats (candy canes, mints, etc.);

Clothing (socks, und or winter gear such as mitts and tukes);

Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.);
-
The stockings themselves (to hold the donations);
-
Kleenex;
-
Gum;
-
Lip balm;
-
Makeup products;
-
Gift cards;
-
Stationary (pens, etc.);
-
Christmas or holiday related items (Christmas tree decorations, etc.);
-
Monetary donations (to go towards the purchasing of stocking stuffers);

Any other suggested donation items? Let us know!
For how many people: 56 stockings in total (For 26 men and 29 women).
When is it needed by? It would be helpful if we can have all the donations before Tuesday, December 5.
How to donate: If you have a donation, please contact Lauren (lmemery@ualberta.ca) or Kevin (kggmcleod@hotmail.com). You can bring your donated items to one of our Rotary meetings or contact Lauren or Kevin to have them picked up.
We will then put the stockings together with the Skills Society on December 5, 2017 at their office (10408 124 Street NW, Edmonton).
Last year, these stockings were greatly valued by the people supported by the Skills Society and for some it may be the only gift they receive at Christmas time due to lack of personal supports and isolation.
