Last week was a prime example of why we should be proud to be a Crete Rotary Club member. We had two service opportunities in one week where individual members gave almost 17 hours of volunteer time to the Crete Elementary book fair and our local Boy Scout Troop/Pack 212 pancake feed. Members also cheered on Doane Tiger basketball where our own Cody Vance announces.

Those who were able to volunteer at the pancake feed on Saturday visited with the Garrisons, who made the journey from DeWitt to help represent our club. They were both dressed in Rotary wear and Mary took turns flipping pancakes with us. The club continues to wish Jack G. well in his recovery. It was great to see them both!

Crete Elementary Media Center's Dede Moore was once again appreciative of members' help with the book fair and we had two of our newest members learn the ropes scanning books and running the registers.

Grocery Grab tickets are at the printer and we should see them this week sometime and by the Feb. 26 meeting for sure. We will also sign up for shifts at Foodmart for those members who want to sell tickets on Saturday mornings in March.

Our next meeting is tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 18) at The Brew House. If you are eating lunch, please call in your order by 11:30 and tell them you're with Rotary. Check out the new menus online: https://www.brewhousecrete.com/copy-of-the-menu-1
