The Sunday work crew was able to paint the support posts on the smaller bridge and all but two posts on the longer foot bridge at the Crete Youth Cabin. Tom Parker was hard at work trying to finish the span of the longer bridge so that decking and railings could be completed. Thank you to those who were able to make it.

Last week's Wednesday meeting speaker was City of Crete City Administrator Tom Ourada who spoke about a number of recent and ongoing city initiatives and projects.

He recapped the city's branding, which resulted in the "Community in Motion" logo and website and also talked more on the flood plain study and mapping that has the potential to remove many Crete properties from the flood plain. He also talked about housing subdivisions underway addressing a number of housing needs in town as well as the downtown revitalization program, which may be approved for a second round of grants toward facade improvements.

This week there is no regular meeting as the club will volunteer at the CAMC Health Fair check-in desk. The check-in is located the hospital's main desk, inside the main entrance. They have the signup list, so simply tell them who you are and that you're with Crete Rotary. Thank you in advance to those who have signed up.
