This last week, Tom Parker shared some photos from his recent tour of Europe.  He visited the French beaches of Normandy that were bombed during D-Day.  Because this year is the 75th anniversary, it was interesting to see the photos and hear the stories.  I personally enjoyed hearing about the history and seeing how the beaches and cemetery looks today.  Thank you for sharing, Tom!

With the rain this week, plans are still up in the air for pumpkin planting.  Here is what the schedule looks like this week:
Tuesday, June 11th, regular meeting at noon where Tom P will share more details about the work required on the district grant.  This is scheduled and guaranteed, please plan to make if if you can.

If the ground is ready to plant on Wednesday the 12th, I will send an email letting members know we will also be planting pumpkins this week as well.  Then, no meeting the week of the 18th.

If the ground is not ready, we will have the regular meeting on the 11th, and we will schedule pumpkin planting for the 18th and hope for the best!  The 26th will remain the passing of the gavel.

Thank you all for your flexibility on the pumpkin planting.  The rain has not been our friend this spring/summer, so I appreciate your patience as we get it scheduled.  If that does not make sense, please email me and I'll explain more.
