Last week's program guest was new Crete Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Joshua McDowell (center, pictured with members Bret Schroder and Jim Johnson). He is a Grand Island native who earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master's degrees from Doane University and his Doctorate of Education from Creighton University. He previously served has Chief Transformation Officer for Grand Island Public Schools. He and his wife, also a Doane graduate, and their two children, have found Crete already feels like home.

He presented on his building blocks for a successful district, including building authentic relationships, instructional leadership, systems working together, data-informed decisions, transparent communication and focusing on growth.

This week's plan to work on the footbridges at the Youth Cabin has been halted by the recent weather. On Wednesday, members are instead encouraged to meet at Elle's on Main for a social meeting. If you are able to make it, please let Jenn know - jennlampila@gmail.com
