On Wednesday, 20 September 2017 at 11H00, RI President Ian Riseley will plant a tree in the Company Gardens in Cape Town as a lasting symbol of Rotary in our region. As part of this historic event, Members and the entire Family of Rotary, including Rotaractors, Interactors, EarlyActors, Inner Wheelers and Partners are invited to come and share this momentous occasion.

This tree planting event will also provide us the golden opportunity to share the efforts and image of Rotary on our various Social Media platforms, and we encourage Rotarians to post the event individually and through their Clubs.

We would encourage all who will be posting the event to use the hashtag #D9350TreePlanting in their post, which will allow us to find all the public content very easily.

For those not all that familiar with facebook/Twitter/Instagram etc. all you have to do is append the #D9350TreePlanting hashtag to any image or narrative when posting and you will be able to find all the other "hash-tagged" posts on the event. This is an immensely powerful publicity tool, so let’s assist Janey and the PI Committee by using the  #D9350TreePlanting for all our posts of this event.

We hope to see as many of you at the event as possible – don’t miss the opportunity to be in this historic photograph!

Yours in Rotary

Lynette Stassen
