Rotary Club Helderberg Sunrise had their Official Tree Planting Ceremony on Earth Day
On Sunday 22 April our Club held the Official Tree Planting Ceremony.
This was held at Rotary Youth camps in Glencairn. One of Rotary's best kept secrets.
Over 50 of our trees have been planted here in one of the "Pods", with 2 Milkwood trees at the entrance to the bridge over the river Else to the meeting room.

We decided to have a fellowship event at the same time as the Ceremony in the form of a braai brunch.
Scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese grillers have never tasted better Thanks to our ladies that cooked the food over the skottels.
Once the food had been devoured it was time to explore the labryinth.
What fun we had weaving our way around and we are definately going back there in the year ahead

Our Club has over 200 Spekboom saplings ready for planting later in the year. These will be planted in the Helderberg basin.
Members have also planted various trees in their own gardens as part of the plant a tree per member challenge.
