Swellendam Rotary Club has been very busy with Projects the past few months.
 
Our focus this Rotary year has been on ECD and Community enhancement, of which there is an enormous need for in Swellendam and the surrounding area.
Our projects so far have included donations of R2500.00 to each of 3 crèches in Railton and 1 crèche in Suurbrak for the purchase of educational material.
Sponsorship of a rugby and netball tournament for junior school children R3000.00
Soccer posts for children in Railton community.
Trees were planted in 3 schools and at the Museum R1105.00
A donation of R5000.00 was given to ACVV – to fund their soup kitchen in a disadvantaged community.
XIARU, a sewing group of 8 ladies in Suurbrak were given R5000.00 to purchase stock to make patchwork bags which Rotary and Ann’s are helping to market and sell.
CAP were given R16628.00 to purchase workwear required for their project to supply Pick & Pay with Montagu dried fruit snacks.
NSRI in Port Beaufort was given R5000.00 towards purchasing a Vital Signs monitor to help in their efforts of saving lives.
Langeberg Hospice were given a donation of R4400.00
Three wheelchairs were given to 3 deserving recipients.
Swellendam Rotary Club is a small club in a Community with great needs. We try to spread Rotary funding to as many needy projects as we can.
Over the past 3 years Rotary has become a recognized service provider to Swellendam.
