As we begin 2018 the Board of the Literacy Rotarian Action Group (LitRAG) and I trust you will continue to have a wonderful time in Rotary as the District Governor and that your service makes a difference to others. Thank you for the work you are doing and I am confident this issue of the Newsletter will be useful to you and your voluntary work.

The February 2018 Newsletter is a rich resource for you and it is a valuable set of ideas that you can proudly share with other Rotarians and people in your District and community who work in areas of reading, or early learning. Indeed it would be very valuable indeed for parents to use in the home. After all, that is rightly a Major Focus of Rotary.

Please read it yourself and make comments back to me to help with future Newsletters. Thank you. Having read the Newsletter, you will see its value. If possible, also share it with other key Rotarians in your District. You may have a Director or similar responsible for Basic Education and Literacy or the District's Community Service Director. They need to be well aware of the support we can give in the wide and essential area of early learning.

There are nine packed pages and so this issue should remain a wonderful resource of ideas to make a difference - please take action and use the Newsletter. It is a resource now in your hands and yours to use.

All the best in this part of the Rotary year and if there are stories about reading, schooling or basic education please tell us - photos are wonderful too.

Yours - In Rotary Service.
