Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Please accept these sentiments of thanksgiving and my sincere wishes that each of you will enjoy bountiful blessings as we start the holiday season.  Maybe some of these sentiments will apply to your own Rotary journey and provide you with an opening to thank the people with whom you share fellowship every week…
  • I am exceedingly thankful for the Rotarians who have welcomed me into their clubs, their events and activities and shown me a greater capacity for serving, caring, and giving than I had previously known.
  • I am thankful for the Rotarians who lead and who motivate & inspire others to think big, work hard, and seize opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others, their clubs, communities, and the world.
  • I am thankful for the Rotarians who have prayed for my safe travels and well-being during an extremely active and eventful few months.
  • I am thankful for my family members who have encouraged me through early mornings and late nights, sacrificed some family time so that I could participate in Rotary events, and taken up extra responsibilities at home that I’ve neglected.
  • I am thankful for my team at work and their efforts to stretch out of their comfort zones in my absence which is more often this year than in the past.  I am thankful for our District 7390 Executive Secretary, Melissa Bruck, and her dedication to our collective success as an organization.
  • Most of all, I am thankful for this opportunity to experience the role of District Governor and thankful for this very moment in time when so many lives are intersecting with mine and fulfilling me with an abundant source of hope and new friendships that will last a lifetime.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

Yours in  Rotary,

Una Martone
District Governor 2017-18
