A Backstage Tour of the Lied Center

Michael Kappen joined the Lied Center for Performing Arts staff in May 2017. As the Marketing & Sales Coordinator, he manages the sales of program book advertising and group tickets. He graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL) with a degree in Music: Trumpet Performance and a minor in Business Administration. Michael is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration degree at UNL. Prior to his current job at the Lied Center, Michael worked for the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra as the Youth Orchestra Administrator and served in a number of other roles at the Lied. While he is a fervent supporter of the arts and the performing acts that grace the Lied Center stage, Michael most enjoys getting to work with a wide variety of patrons, staff and local professionals on a daily basis.
