Dr. Stephen Hume, Alzheimer's & Rotary Scolarship

Two power packed presentations today. First, Rotarian Scholarship Chair David Griffin introduced this year's recipient - Kate Bergeron, West Springfield High School graduate going to UMASS-Amherst. Kate is a National Honor Society recipient, three-sport athlete and active in her church. Even though our Treasurer was present, Dave announced "the check is in the mail". Next a spellbinding presentation by Dr. Stephen Hume, PSY.D, and Alzheimer's Advocate. He spoke on what the Alzheimer's Association does and what needs to be done. He was a victim of this disease and is proud to be a survivor because of the new technology available. EVERY 67 SECONDS THERE IS ANOTHER CASE OF DEMENTIA IN THE WORLD.
