1st Annual NORFI Scholarship Wine Competition

It is time to sign up for the Club’s First Annual Scholarship Wine Competition & Silent Auction, to be held on Thursday, May 10 at from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Manning’s. This is the Club’s largest annual fundraiser, and funds are currently needed for projects such as college scholarships for at risk New Orleans youth, school book and computer donations to hurricane-devastated Philippines, RYLA, school and summer backpacks, the St. Xavier orphanage, and more!

Form a team of one to four people, come up with a team name, and bring along three identical bottles of your favorite red or white wine. Two bottles from each team are uncorked for a blind taste test and scoring by the crowd, and the third bottle is placed in reserve. The first place winners from the regular and professional categories each get 50% of the unopened bottles from their respective categories. Second and Third place teams get 25% of the unopened bottles from their categories each.

Teams of 1, 2, 3 or 4 people are $100/head. Corporate sponsorship comes with signage at the event and social media blasts, is $500, and comes with room for four participants. Professional teams also get signage at the event and social media blasts but participate in their own category for $750/team of four.
