The Industry Training Authority (ITA) is building the trades careers in BC through a training and apprenticeship system that meets the needs of British Columbia’s economy. ITA works with employers, apprentices, industry, labour, training providers and government to issue credentials, supports apprenticeships, fund programs, set program standards and increase opportunities in the trades. 
 
 
 
David Senyard is the ITA Apprenticeship Advisor for Surrey and Delta. In his early years David managed bars, nightclubs, and restaurants in Australia, England, and Canada. After completing a Bachelor of Business program in in Human Resources, he began working as an employment advisor for non-profit organizations and private educational facilities, most recently with the Squamish Nation Training & Trades Centre, and has assisted Indigenous people find employment.
