AGENDA

First Track:
·        Growing your Membership through Extension. Learn from the best new ideas to add satellite clubs, alternative meeting times, or sponsoring new clubs to grow your membership.
·        So what is The Rotary Foundation, and why should I care? If you or your club have never quite understood how support of The Rotary Foundation can help your very own club, this is a must-attend session!
·        Tech Tips: Using Social Media to promote your club. Want to get the message out to community of what your club is doing? Want to create a public image that will make people call YOU to join your club? This is the workshop for you!
·        What the Heck is Vocational Service? Vocational Service has been called the “Forgotten” Avenue of Rotary Service. Yet Vocational Service is never more valuable and important than it is today. Come and be energized by how you can use Vocational Service in your Rotary membership

Second Track:
·        Creative Ways to Attract New Members. If you have too many members in your club, you might want to skip this session. Otherwise, you’ll pick up valuable tips on how you can attract great new members within the next 30 days.
·        How does the Zone & Rotary Foundation fit into my Rotary Club. Our very own PDG Kathy Hiltner is Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator. What does that mean? And how can support from our Zone help your club become a superstar supporter of our Rotary Foundation?
·        Why the Youth Protection Policy is ESSENTIAL if your club has any youth activities. If you or your club have programs with children or youth, such as EarlyAct, Interact, or RYLA, it is ESSENTIAL that every member who interacts with those young people has signed the Rotary Youth protection Policy. Failure to do so can expose you personally and you club to enormous liability.
·        Tech Tips: Using Rotary.org. We’ve all heard of Rotary.org. This session will show you how the site can give you an incredible amount of information and tools, from templates for club brochures to projects looking for club partners, to information on your personal contributions.

Third Track:
·        Improving Membership Retention through Membership Engagement. Ever have problems with members leaving your club almost as fast as you attract new members? Or ever have some members that you just can’t seem to energize, to sign on to your projects and activities? This session will show you how to better RETAIN your members by ENGAGING them in Rotary.
·        Global Grants: As Easy As 1+2=3.” Many clubs do not participate on Rotary Foundation Global Grants because they think they are too big, or they don’t even understand them. This fast-paced session will show how your club can participate in Global Grants without spending much money and without having to spend a lot of money.
·        How our GREAT new Public Image manual will help your club get members and community PR. Guess what? Our District Public Image team has just produced an entire Public Image manual that’s been called “The best in the country.” Your club NEEDS to enhance its public image, and this session will give you our new FREE manual that explains how you can use social media, blogs, billboards, and press releases to make your club a household name in your community.
·        Future Leaders Panel Discussion.  Have you ever kinda, sorta, thought about moving into a leadership role in Rotary? Maybe an Assistant Governor, and committee chair, or even District Governor? This round table discussion will answer all your questions about the process, the costs, the time commitment. Of course you are not making a commitment by attending, but if you have ever been curious about becoming a Rotary leader, this will be a valuable discussion.

Continental breakfast will be served from 8-8:40AM, and we’ll have a working lunch from 12-12:45, during which Rotary International Director Julia Phelps will give us an inspirational keynote address.
