You never know when you will run into a fellow Rotarian but you better be on your best behavior. While traveling with a tour group throughout Alaska earlier in August, two District 5870 members met each other.
Beverly Luedke of RC Temple-South and Pat Simmons of RC Mexia just happen to realize they were from the same District when visiting four time Iditarod Champion Martin Buser's Happy Trails Kennel in Big Lake, Alaska. Martin mentioned that he was a local Rotarian during his introduction to the tour group and when Beverly asked to take her picture with a fellow Rotarian, Pat introduced himself as a Rotarian from a small town in TEXAS.....Mexia. What a special moment and what a small world we live in.
