The Marble Falls Daybreak Rotary held their Annual Rotary Shoot Sporting Clays event on September 28, 2019.  What was once a skeet and trap shoot has evolved into the Sporting Clays event, where clays are shot out in various patterns over a large Valley, in the beautiful Texas Hill country, at Copperhead Creek Shooting Club.
The Sporting clay patterns imitate game birds more accurately than trap or skeet.

Nine 4-person teams participated in the event. The first place team won the Grand Prize, a Hog Hunt at a world class Texas ranch! The second-place team members each won $50 gift cards to Numinous Coffee shop for a total of $200.  The third-place team members each won a Thermocell and 6 hours of refills.

Our Raffle Prize was a Home Defense package which included a shot gun, a pistol, and accessories to go with each gun.  This was raffled off to one lucky winner, who happened to be a Marble Falls (Noon Club) Rotary member (who bought their winning ticket at the Annual Fish Fry!).

A BBQ dinner, provided by Craig Schlicke, was enjoyed by all after the shooting was completed.

This is our annual fundraiser and the monies raised are used to support local charities and nonprofits, and to provide scholarships to high school students for use in their future college or trade school educations.
