District 5870 presented a $10,000 check to the Central Texas Food Bank last week. Because the real cost of food to our local food pantries goes for transportation, the money will actually be directed to specific local food centers for these costs.
Several of the centers already selected include Waco Caritas, Lampasas and Elgin. Please develop club dates to work in your local pantries or even consider going to the Central Texas Food Bank just west of the Austin airport. They can arrange for a time.
