Bagpiping Auctioneer with Farm animal Rescue

Matt Roben, a Bay Area native, spent 25 years working as a professional circus artist. At the age of 40 he joined the Chicago Police Department where he spent four years working as a patrol officer. In 2020 he and his wife, Dr. Emily Roben, decided to move back to the Bay Area so they could be closer to family and begin the next chapter of their life running Rancho Roben Rescues, a 12 acre non-profit farm animal sanctuary located in the east hills of San Jose which is currently the forever home to over 100 residents. They share the joy of their space by renting out a converted school bus tiny home on Airbnb, guiding visitors on farm tours, and renting out their swimming pool for private events and parties. Matt is also a professional benefit auctioneer working with numerous non-profit organizations in the Bay Area to help raise money at fundraisers and galas. He describes himself as passionate and a zesty life-long learner.
