Northern Regional Speech contest

The Rotary District 5170 Annual Youth Speech Contest is officially named the Richard D. King Annual Youth Speech Contest in honor and respect for him because the seeds of love for the contest were sown by him during his administration as District Governor, 1982-83, as well as RI President, 2001-02. WHAT IS ROTARY? Service Above Self Rotary provides service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Rotary theme for the year is “Serve to change lives” THE FOUR-WAY TEST of the things we think, say or do 1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships? 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

On April 21st our club will once again host the north regional speech contest finals. The speakers will be the winners of their area finals. This is often our most well attended meeting so plan on arriving early. The event will be held at noon at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara. The address is 1505 Warburton Ave. Santa Clara
