Newark Rotary will participate in the Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup initiative, by doing our part and helping to clean up the banks of the Erie Canal. This will be part of the largest single series of cleanup events during one time period ever held on the Great Lakes.

We will also cleanup Route 88 as part of our annual highway cleanup.

Newark Rotary in conjunction with the village of Newark will participate in the Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup initiative, by doing our part and helping to clean up the banks of the Erie Canal. This will be part of the largest single series of cleanup events during a one time period ever held on the Great Lakes. 

All interested individuals are welcome to participate. The project will be on Saturday April 24th starting at 8am with a snack and a coffee. Cleanup will start shortly after and end by 12 noon. We will be focusing on the areas between Whitbeck road and Clinton street in East Newark.

Please wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear and bring a good pair of work gloves. Please report to the pavilion area in T. Spencer Knight Park across from Wayne ARC on Van Buren Street in Newark. There will be people there to direct you to your location to clean up. You will also need to sign a waiver to participate in this project.
