Hank Trickey was our speaker this past week.

President Mitch opened the meeting at 12:00

Pat Albrecht  gave the invocation and led us in the pledge and the 4-way test.

Wellness: Marge let us know Susie Earl is in the hospital.  Thanksgiving cards were signed for both Susie and the Reinhardts.

Announcements

Dave Doebler handed out our sign-up times for ringing the bell for Salvation Army. Check with Dave if you haven’t signed up yet.

Michele McManus announced the RPO coming to Newark High School on Friday, December 2.  Adult tickets are $12.00

Jan Hence still has Wegmans bags with food items listed.  Sign up and help someone out this holiday season. Get them returned as soon as possible after Thanksgiving.

Please put September, 9, 2023 on the calendar for the 2nd Annual Family Fest!  Planning is underway and your ideas are welcome.  See Adam O.

Mike Muscolino announced the tree lighting ceremony is on December 3 @6:00 in Central Park.  Dress in your favorite holiday attire and help greet the children attending.  Go to the AECC after for hot chocolate and cookies with Santa.

 

Queen of Hearts-Rich VanLaeken’s number was drawn but he didn’t draw the Queen.

Program

President Mitch introduced the speaker, Hank Trickey. He was a member of Newark Rotary a few years back.  Hank mentioned he hired Barb Viola.  Hank spoke of his experiences in the Army in Vietnam.  His words were very moving.
