Renovation continues on the Ohio Theatre.
It's been a long two years for Michael Bouson. He and his partner purchased the Ohio Theatre two years ago and have been slowly renovating the building. Originally constructed in 1927 as a movie palace, the Ohio Theatre has been a concert hall, night club, wedding venue and more. Michael told us that plans for the renovated theatre include a cabaret, bakery and cafe, dinner theatre, and meeting venue. "We're very, very excited about being here in Lima. The community support has been overwhelming. It is an impossible task. But what keeps us going is somebody will just show up and say, 'I'm here to help today.'" It is hoped that the Ohio Theatre will open this fall.
