National Alliance on Mental Illness - Mary Janness

Mary Janness is the Executive Director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness - Oshkosh..  Mary grew up in Oshkosh and left for a time working in the Health Room at Neenah High School which led her to facilitating student mental health support groups and eventually to NAMI - Fox Valley.

She has returned to Oshkosh and after failing at retirement, took the position at NAMI - Oshkosh which has been in Oshkosh since 1979.  NAMI educates, supports and advocates for all people affected by mental illness through support groups and educational series at their building at 525 N. Main.  You may be familiar with the NAMI Oshkosh 5K for Mental Health and Suicide Awareness.

Be sure to join us this Monday for an important presentation about mental health needs in Oshkosh and how NAMI - Oshkosh works to address them.
