The Rotary Club of Edina will welcome Lori Syverson, Executive Director of the Edina Chamber Commerce, and our own Tim Murphy, past Rotary District 5950 Governor, as program speakers at the Thursday, Nov. 8, meeting. Syverson and Murphy are members of the Edina Economic Development Committee. They will be sharing about their work, and what Edina looks like moving forward.

Lori Syverson serves as president of the Edina Chamber of Commerce and the city’s visitor’s bureau, Explore Edina. Prior to coming to Edina, Syverson was AVP of Marketing and Business Analysis with U.S. Bank. She joined the Chamber in 2012. 

Syverson received her undergraduate degree from Marquette University (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) in journalism and earned her Master’s in Business Administration from Alverno College, also in Milwaukee.
 
Tim Murphy is a longtime Edina Rotarian. He is past president of the Rotary Club of Edina, and has also served as Governor for Rotary District 5950. He is involved with the Edina Chamber Commerce as owner of Grandview Tire & Auto. 
 
The Rotary Club of Edina meets at 12:15 p.m. Thursdays at the Edina Country Club. All are welcome. Cost for lunch and the program is $20 for adults, $12 for children. Cash, check and credit card payments are accepted at the door.
