On Saturday, November 16th 11 Rotarians gathered near the Franklin Avenue light rail stop to assist Lt. Grant Snyder of the MPD prepare chili and serve about 100 homeless individuals chili, croissants and water.  Snyder added Worscestershire sauce, cocoa and coffee to the chili pot.  It was delicious and many homeless came back for seconds.

Snyder was given the 300+ pairs of socks that Rotarians graciously donated.  He will be distributing these in future days. It was a wonderful day of "Service Above Self"

Those in attendance were:  Jon Barnett, Jennifer Hendrickson, Jack Kennefick, Toshie Metzger, Jim Platt, Sue Spaulding and her husband, Dave, Mary Swendsen, Jean Morrison, Lisa Walker and Ann Platt.
