Help celebrate Arbor Day by participating with our new Rotary Club of Edina members in taking on the City of Edina's challenge of planting 200 trees in Rosland Park. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and we'll try to coordinate schedules to have as many Edina Rotarians together at the same time. Read More for additional details or contact Chris Laskowski at cvision@comcast.net or 763-242-7655.

Volunteers will be instructed in how to plant a tree and the first tree or two will be done as a large group. Then everyone will break off in small groups to plant trees across the park. Shovels and other equipment will be provided, and the soil will already have been augered to make the task much easier.

Volunteers are asked to bring gloves and wear closed-toed shoes, along with clothes you don't mind getting dirty.  In addition to planting trees, people will be watering them and putting down compost generated from the City's curbside organics program.
