Join us at Canterbury Park in Shakopee for Rotary Race Day on Friday, Aug. 10. Everyone is welcome—Rotarians bring your family and friends out to this great event! The gates open at 5:30 p.m., live horse racing begins at 6:30.

Cost for the event is $10, which inclues admission, hot dog and soda. Children 17 and under get free admission, but must purchase the $10 ticket to get the hot dog and soda. Rotary Race Day is a fundraiser for The Rotary Foundation's PolioPlus! Organized by Rotary District 5950, 100 percent of ticket sales will benefit PolioPlus!

You can purchase tickets to the event at the Aug. 2 and 9 Rotary Club of Edina meetings. Bring cash or a check to buy your tickets. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets at last week's meeting! Social Director Renee Harberts and TRF Director David Clynes are coordinating the ticket sales. Please contact them if you have questions.

The speaker at this week's, Aug. 2, Rotary meeting is Mark Irving, who was a professional jockey for 20 years. He has a new role as Racing Ambassador for Canterbury Park.

See you at the track as we raise money for PolioPlus!
