The Edina High School Interact Club is planning a "Skate to End Polio" from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Braemar Arena's Backyard Rink. Enjoy open skating with friends and family!

All ages are welcome! Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids, and can be bought the day of the event, or in advance by contacting Edina Rotarian Josh Sprague at josh@joshsprague.com.

All proceeds go towards Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign, which began in 1985 and has raised more than $1.3 billion towards the elimination of this deadly and crippling childhood disease. As of 1985, polio affected 350,000 people in 125 countries. In 2015, polio had been 99 percent eliminated, with less than 100 cases in only two countries.

If you are unable to attend the fundraiser but would like to donate, please send a check made payable to the Edina Rotary Foundation to:

Please make sure to put "Skate to End Polio" in the memo line so we know what your donation is for. These checks will then be added to the funds raised at the event for Rotary's End Polio Now.

The skate-a-thon is sponsored by the Interact Club of Edina High School, Rotary Club of Edina, Edina Morningside Rotary Club and Braemar Arena.
